Description
Design Build replacement of MDWASD’s existing 54-inch sanitary sewer force main and 20″ water main. A 60″ inside diameter force main tunneled from Fisher Island-launch shaft to a retrieval shaft south of the City of Miami Beach underneath the Government Cut Inlet. A 24″ HDPE water main directional drilled from the Port of Miami to Fischer Island underneath Fisherman’s Channel.
- Micro-tunnel drive 1,200 LF 90 feet below sea level.
- Design and installation details of the 1700 linear feet, 24-inch internal diameter high density polyethylene sub-aqueous water main
pipeline installed by the horizontal directional drilling method (HDD) across Fisherman’s Channel. - Open cut installation of +/- 480 LF of 60-inch PCCP along Washington Ave
- Three secant pile shafts were designed and constructed, including one retrieval shaft in the middle of the government cut inlet.
