Description

This Design Build Project is located in the Geroge T. Lohmeyer Wastewater Treatment Plant, (GTL) in the City of Fort Lauderdale.

The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, design, permitting, construction, testing and start up of the GTL 54” Force main replacement.

The purpose of this project is to provide a redundant effluent Force Main from the GTL WWTP to the city’s injection well site.  There will be no interruptions to operation in the port or at the convention center.

Ric-Man Construction Florida’s Micro Tunnel Division will Self-perform the mining on this project.

Update: 2/22/25 The Micro tunnel mining is completed and the 54” pipe is being jacked into the tunnel.

Update: 3/4/25 Final connection has been made which connect the 200’ tunnel to the 800’ tunnel.
